Distribution of the Draft Infrastructure Needs Assessment (INA) - Somerset

As provided in N.J.S.A. 52:18A-202.1 and N.J.A.C. 15:30-5.1, the Commission is required to produce an Infrastructure Needs Assessment (INA), which is an assessment of present and prospective conditions, needs, and costs associated with the new State Plan with regard to State, county, and municipal capital facilities. These considerations include water, sewerage, transportation, broadband, solid waste, drainage, flood protection, shore protection, and other related capital facilities. The INA is a legally required component of the State Development and Redevelopment Plan.

The Commission, on September 15, 2025, approved the Draft Infrastructure Needs Assessment for distribution. Comments may be submitted to the Office of Planning Advocacy (OPA) through December 3, 2025.

Distribution of the Draft Final State Development and Redevelopment Plan (SDRP) - Somerset

As you may be aware, the State Planning Commission (the Commission) initiated the Cross Acceptance process to update the New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan (State Plan) on December 4, 2024. As provided in N.J.S.A. 52:18A-202(b) and N.J.A.C. 15:30-5.1, upon the completion of the Cross Acceptance process, the Commission is required to produce a Draft Final State Development and Redevelopment Plan for public review and comment.  

The Commission, on September 15, 2025, approved the Draft Final State Development and Redevelopment Plan for distribution. Comments may be submitted to the Office of Planning Advocacy (OPA) through December 3, 2025.
