Upcoming Lloyd Road and Hardscrabble Road Closures – Actual Construction Start Date Will Be Provided 

Somerset County will be performing construction on County Bridges No. G1404 and No. G1405, which carry Lloyd Road over Indian Grove Brook in the Borough of Bernardsville.  The project involves the full reconstruction of both bridge structures and improvements to the associated roadway approaches.

Construction will occur in two phases.  The first phase will include a temporary closure of the intersection of Lloyd Road and Hardscrabble Road for approximately two (2) weeks.   During this phase, only local traffic will be allowed (no through traffic); traffic will be detoured via Washington Corner Road, Mendham Road, and Chestnut Avenue.  The second phase will include a temporary closure of Lloyd Road at each of the two bridge locations for approximately eight (8) months following the first phase.  Traffic will be detoured via Hardscrabble Road, Washington Corner Road, and Mendham Road.  Local access will be maintained throughout the full project duration.
